Bruno Mars wound up his 24K Magic World Tour on a high note by announcing a charitable donation - he plans to provide 24,000 meals to Hawaiian residents in need on Thanksgiving Day.

The Honolulu-native announced earlier this week that he has given the funds to the Salvation Army via the Hawaii Community Foundation.

The Salvation Army's Hawaiian & Pacific Islands Division conducts a Thanksgiving Dinner meal program every year. This year's program falls on November 22.

Bruno Mars connected the number of food beneficiaries with the name of his song, album and tour, 24K Magic.

Mars had previously donated $1 million to help people affected by the Flint water crisis in Michigan last year.
