The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of Qatar has unveiled a state-of-the-art website, marking a significant stride in the nation’s diplomatic strategy, Wego has learned. The initiative, led by Secretary-General Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, aims to provide a comprehensive platform showcasing the Ministry’s activities, events, and achievements, as well as its vision and mission.

Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Naemi, the Ministry’s Director of Information Technology, announced that the new site would offer several advanced E-services. These services include attestations, for which applicants can log in using the National Authentication System (NAS) and submit their requests. The documents will be processed in collaboration with Qatar Post, ensuring a seamless and efficient service.

In its commitment to accessibility and user support, the new website will provide round-the-clock assistance in nine languages in collaboration with the Government Contact Center, accessible at 109. Initially, the website will serve as a reference and open archive for the MOFA’s data. In the second phase, it will expand to include a photo gallery and a page documenting Qatar’s numerous regional and international mediation achievements.

Ibrahim bin Sultan Al Hashmi, the Director of the Media and Communication Department, revealed plans to make the website’s content available in Spanish and French. The site’s content has been meticulously developed to streamline access to official data and information on all of Qatar’s diplomatic missions. It will also feature news, events, and various activities of the MOFA and Qatari diplomatic missions abroad.

This development underscores Qatar’s commitment to transparency and digital innovation in its diplomatic endeavors. The new website is expected to significantly enhance the visibility of Qatar’s diplomatic missions and their activities, both at home and abroad.
