The UN Human Rights Office has expressed concern over the laws passed by the Georgian Parliament this week and has highlighted the associated risks.
The UN Human Rights Office urges Georgia to uphold its obligations under international human rights law.
"Georgia we are concerned by the restrictive laws and regulations passed by parliament this week, which amplify existing risks to freedoms of expression and association, equality and civic space, and stifle political pluralism. We urge Georgia to uphold its IHRL obligations," the UN Human Rights Office said in a statement.
